- The condition of women in religions of Semitic origin: Judaism, Christianity and Islam....

English text

Judaism was and is an "ethnic" faith that aims to maintain the unity and cultural and genetic identity of the Jewish people. Its mythology, which dates back to four or five thousand years ago, drew extensively on the myths and legends of those peoples with whom the Jews came, for various reasons, in contact. But first of all let's talk about how the Jewish entity was formed. Hebrew means nomad and the Jews belonged to pastoral tribes of Semitic origin that circled in a continuous coming and going on the edge of the Fertile Crescent. Being shepherds and wanderers they had developed a typically patriarchal culture, for them the woman was a means of generating male children who continued the activity, therefore the female status was very low compared to that of males. The only advantage that Jewish women had was that they could be married, to continue the "lineage". While the condition of the gohim (ie non-Jewish) women with whom these shepherds came into contact was believed to be close to that of cattle. The female gohim could be raped, made objects of commerce, used as prostitutes ... but it was well taken care not to proliferate with them since those born of such "females" were not recognized as belonging to the "chosen" people.

Despite all these macho and misogynistic attitudes - as happened to other Semitic peoples - even the Jews, for a certain period, accepted the presence in their elite of a female divinity, Astarte, Jehovah's companion, and guarantor of fertility. It took 6 centuries before Astarte was obliterated, although for a long time their temples coexisted side by side. But eventually the Jewish patriarchs succeeded in destroying the goddess worship, and Jehovah alone occupied the entire firmament. Poor thing, only as he was he developed perverse qualities, he was a vengeful and cruel god who demanded total submission to his unfortunate "chosen" people (in fact Judaism is considered a "religion" in the genealogical sense), he was the source of all evil and he was propitiated with bloody sacrifices (here we recall the story of Cain, who offered the fruits of the earth, not pleasing to Jehovah, and of Abel who killed and burned herds on the altar, whose smell the god was delighted with). On the other hand, if we read the bible we discover that the whole history of Jews is dotted with truculent episodes, sodomitic adventures and violence.

The patriarch Abraham, like a squalid lenone, did not hesitate to give his wife Sarah to the pharaoh of Egypt to obtain the favor of the sovereign. But I do not go further, I limit myself to strongly advise the reading of the bible in order to understand the roots of that monolatrous religion (improperly called "monotheist").

Some goodies about misogyny and Jewish “erotic” norms can be found in the Talmud, the book of religious dictates: “All non-Jewish women are prostitutes. Eben Haezar. - A man can do with his wife what pleases him most, as if she were a piece of meat that comes from the butcher, and which he can eat at his whim, salted, roasted, boiled or like fish bought at the market. Nedarim 20 b. - A three year and one day virgin can be obtained in marriage after a sexual act. Sanhedrin 55b. - Sexual intercourse with a child under 8 years of age is lawful. Sanhedrin, 69b. - A Jew can rape, but not marry a non-Jewish woman. Gad. Shas. 2.2 "

What about the other teachings contained in the bible? The litho-book is by no means a moral text, at least as we understand it, and it does not contain any ethical principles. Accepting the dictates of the bible means approving of every vice and crime. It authorizes: human sacrifices, cannibalism, slavery, polygamy, adultery and prostitution, obscenity, injustice towards women, intolerance and persecution, etc. etc. Among other things, one of the greatest faults of the bible is having taught that "woman brought sin and death into the world. She was created to depend on man for all his needs and for the information he would need .. ".

In all this sewage, strangely, a flower appeared, it is King Solomon's "Song of Songs" (however, there is no certainty about the author). Perhaps it was the beneficial influence of the Queen of Sheba that softened the heart of this rude Israelite king. to visit Solomon accompanied by his courtiers with precious gifts). And it sounds strange that such a strongly erotic poem has been used since the Council of Yavne (90 AD), in the canon of the Old Testament. But the religious traditions, both the Jewish and the Catholic Christian, falsified the literalness of the text, which in truth describes in no uncertain terms an embrace, removed in favor of a mystical interpretation (so forced in the denial of the evidence that it appears almost absurd ).

Some excerpts: “My mother's children were indignant with me: they put me to guard the vineyards; I have not kept my vineyard, mine. Tell me, O love of my soul, where you go to graze the flock, where you let it rest at noon, so that I am not like a wanderer behind the flocks of your companions ... - Get up, kite, and you, Austrian, come, blow in the my garden spread its aromas. My beloved come to her garden and eat its delicious fruits. - The chorus: «Turn around, turn around, Sulammita, turn around, turn around: we want to admire you» .. - The beloved: «How beautiful are your feet in sandals, daughter of a prince! The curves of your hips are like jewels, the work of an artist's hands. Your navel is a round cup that never fails in drugged wine. Your belly is a heap of wheat, surrounded by lilies. Your breasts like two fawns, gazelle twins…. "

With these beautiful words of love, let us now leave Judaism and turn our eyes to its first filiation: Christianity.

We must first of all say something about the "inventor" of Christianity. It is erroneously thought that this religion was founded by a certain Jesus, of which there is no historical evidence of his existence, in truth Christianity is the brilliant thought of a repentant Jew: Saul of Tarsus. Repentant because he went from persecuting Jews who believed in the Messiah Jesus to creator of a new religion in which Jesus became everyone's messiah. At the time of Saul, who incidentally never knew Jesus, there were wars of revolt of the Jews against the Romans, Saul himself, despite being a Jew, had Roman citizenship (it is not known how he obtained, some say why he was a spy) and on several occasions he clashed with the leaders of the Jewish community, putting himself against the disciples of Jesus themselves, above all because, contrary to what was established by Jewish law, Saul decided to "convert" even the Gentiles to "Christianity".

This was the great cunning of him: the figure of Jesus, from messiah of the Jews became the Christ or savior of all peoples. Within the original Jewish community, already spread throughout the empire and beyond, an irreparable fracture was created and the heretic Saul, going along his path, founded that new creed which he called "Christianity".

From the very beginning, however, this "Christianity" was marked and contaminated by the original Jewish misogyny. The freedom of female customs, typical of Roman and Greek society, was regulated in "moral / social" codes that restricted both sexual expressiveness and the social and political importance of women. The most striking example of these restrictions was the killing of the philosopher Hypatia, guilty of being too free and of giving "scandal" to the followers of the new "religious" course. It is said that hatred of the female world, although present in Judaism, was exacerbated in Christianity. Until reaching heights of total annihilation, even physical, of women who dared to manifest autonomy of thought and action, accused of connivance with the "devil".

Indeed, from 418 A.D. all became "demonic". Even newborn children were defined as demonic beings, as they were born from a sexual act and therefore doomed to damnation if they were not baptized as soon as possible. These beautiful ideas resulted in the acquisition of all power, religious and temporal, by the Catholic Church, and this lasted from 375 AD. until the seventeenth century (in which the great Christian heresies were established). In the Council of Nicaea it was established, with the consent of Constantine, that Jesus from "King of the Jews" would become the "Savior and Christ of humanity". Since then the massacres of the pagans, the systematic destruction of their temples, especially those dedicated to the various goddesses, and of the ancient libraries, became law (in 391 A.D. the Christians, for the first time, destroyed one of the largest libraries in the world in Alexandria. which contained over 700,000 volumes on the entire human knowledge, and subsequently the work was completed by the Muslims).

The estimates of scholars, even in the absence of official documents (since the rubbish is done secretly), on the number of people tortured and killed in Europe alone during the Christian rule, ranges from 150,000 to million. Obviously, these data must be integrated with the exterminations of indigenous peoples in the Americas and other parts of the world.

It goes without saying that in the 17 centuries of oppression of sexuality and of the female world, an ever greater perversion in ecclesiastical customs was accentuated. What could not be experienced in the light of day became the object of morbidity and secret outbursts by popes, prelates and priests. Especially in the closed of churches and sacristies. Cases of sexual abuse of minors, illicit relationships in convents, Sado-maso torture against witches and heretics, became common practices and in part persist even today. A melodramatic example of deviant Christian sexuality is given to us in the Halloween parties, promoted by the consumerist and Masonic scum, which are celebrated in the USA. In them some Christian churches install Hell Houses, infernal houses, to convince "believers" to abstain from sin, on pain of eternal damnation. In these Hell Houses there are various stages, a bit like in the vie crucis, in which various sins are shown: a satanic sacrifice, masochistic doctors who practice abortions, prostitutes and libertines who are tortured, etc. At the end of the horrid procession there is usually a paradisiacal scene with Jesus among the angels. After being threatened with unspeakable torture in the underworld, visitors are invited to take refuge in Christ, their lord and savior.

Over the years, however, the female figure was partly re-evaluated through the veneration of the Mother of God, Mary. The priests could not prevent it and so, in some way, the image of the Universal Mother, who gives her life, survived. Although humiliated and offended, as she made a mother by compulsion and without a sexual act. As for the presence of women in the religious world, only in the Anglican faith and in a few other exceptions can women rise to the office of priesthood. I met one of these priestesses a few years ago in Pescara, who sponsored the "Festival of secularism" on behalf of her "church". In short, the female world, even within Christianity, is trying to rediscover her dignity, also rediscovering the sanctity of sexual intercourse, as an expression of divine creativity.

What in the past could only happen through mystical ecstasies is taking a more concrete and tangible form of carnal love, not deprived of spirituality. Of course, if the Catholic Church accepted the female priesthood and marriage among its members, and if the temporal power of the papacy (and the figure of the pope) were abolished, the Catholic Church could perhaps redeem itself from the misdeeds committed in these centuries. But I doubt it has the strength… and therefore it is destined to disappear. History makes no concessions and iniquity has ended its time.

However, to be honest, some Christian saints showed love and respect for the Universal Mother and for the female world. In particular, this attitude was experienced by Francis of Assisi. His worship of god being addressed to all creatures. Francis can be considered a lover of nature in which he recognized the divine imprint. He always endeavored to maintain a behavior suitable for the preservation of life, dealing with animals, work, contemplation of natural beauties and accepting among his companions also several women, who were devoted to him and who in every way showed him love, certainly reciprocated by the saint, since having lived as a layman he knew love and knew that this is not contrary to God's will, indeed it is its expression.

Waiting, almost in the hope, that Christianity will find a new Francis, we are now observing the increasingly rapid rise of the last branch of Judaism, namely Islam.

And here too we must begin to narrate the origins of this creed. Even in the case of Islam there is no doubt that the roots lie in Judaism, with Christian influences, theoretically we could define Islam as a sort of "heresy" of biblical and paleo Christian teachings, except that, by raising the figure of Mohammed as " last and true prophet "and using this pre-eminence for political purposes, the Arabs took advantage of it to unleash a campaign of forced conversions that led Islam to become the largest medieval empire, in close competition with that of the Tartars in the Far East and with Byzantium and Holy Roman Empire in the west. But the strength of the Byzantine Empire was definitely not able to counter the Islamic conquest and Christian Europe was divided into various states, often at odds with each other, consequently the West ran the risk of being swallowed up. Already Spain, Sicily and the Balkans had become Muslim lands, while the coastal cities of France and Italy were continually plundered by Saracen pirates, who in various places also established strongholds. Perhaps it was the Crusades in the Holy Land that created a diversion from the Muslim advance or perhaps the internal divisions within Islam that at a certain point exhausted the high tide of conquest and conversions to the Koran.

And here we must insert a recent news report relating to this sacred text. Recently an Italian researcher, Alba Fedeli, announced the discovery of the oldest known copy of the Koran. The "problem" is that an examination of carbon 14 would have shown that it was written before the preaching of the Islamic prophet, who lived between 570 and 632 AD. British historians who confirmed the document's originality called the discovery "destabilizing" for its implications: a discovery that lends credence to the hypothesis that Muhammad and his followers used an existing text, which they then modeled on their own vision. politics and theology. An explanation that goes to dismantle the official version according to which the Koran was written by Mohammed, on the basis of a divine revelation ...

But let's go back to the main theme of this article, namely the analysis of how eroticism and the condition of women are perceived in the various religions of Semitic origin. Even in Islam, as in Judaism and Christianity, the strong masculine and patriarchal imprint establishes the type of relationship between male and female and provides information on different sexual attitudes.

We see, for example, that Muhammad at the beginning of his career married an elderly but rich woman, which allowed him to be able to devote himself to his mystical visions without worrying about survival. Later, however, to compensate, he married a young girl just a teenager in order to satisfy her carnal impulses as well. Even today in Islamic nations, marriages with virgin girls are absolutely the norm and we often read the dramatic consequences in the newspapers. Another characteristic of Islam is polygamy. A man can have as many wives as he can keep and here too the origin of the custom is "religious". In fact, since women are considered the property of men and since even non-Muslim women are co-opted into the religion once they are impalmed, having many wives (perhaps kidnapped in Europe) contributes to the formation of new followers (the offspring becomes all Muslim). Among other things, those who had been converted to Islam could hardly abjure since death was expected for anyone who renounced the true faith.

Another aspect of sexuality in Islam is the "declared" opposition to sodomitic intercourse and zooerasty, and this was motivated (as happened by the prohibition to feed on pigs or unbled herds) by practical reasons and by the need to correct a inveterate trend. In fact, as with other peoples of pastoral origin, the habit of satisfying one's cravings by enjoying animals and youngsters was so ingrained that it was necessary to put a stop to it, with a precise religious injunction. On pain of eternal hell. Conversely, for the virtuous who diligently follow the Koranic norms and who die fighting for Islam, the gates of heaven are opened, with 70 virgins always ready to satisfy their cravings and rivers of wine and honey. Of course, there is no mention of what the benefit is for Muslim women.

But Muhammad himself declared the hierarchical position between man and woman, showing his followers how to "educate their wives by beating them with rolled-up clothes". From this attitude, symbolic or not, we understand how much the followers of Islam despise the female world (even if they want to enjoy it at all costs). And the Koran itself recommends: "Admonish those whose insuburdation you fear, leave them alone in their beds, beat them (Koran 4:34)".

The status of women in the Islamic world is very low and we see it every day in those sad images of women in burkas and we read it in all the newspapers regarding the continuous rape and violence suffered. Even if a woman rebels against rape and reacts, she is condemned. And if the rape in question is carried out by a relative this is considered "adultery" and the victim can even be stoned to death. Women who have experienced rape can be punished for the shame they have brought to the family. The woman is the victim but the fault lies with the woman. Absurdity of a blind and inhuman fundamentalism.

In Mohammed's homeland, Saudi Arabia, the state religion is Wahabism, a super-orthodox variant of Sunni Islam, which establishes, with regard to women, that they cannot take on social roles, in addition to servile functions, they cannot not even get a driver's license.

We read again in the sacred text: “Women must look down in the company of men and if a guest visits the house they must be hidden by a curtain or barrier. (Quran 24:31 and 33:53). The fact is that, as with the bible, the initial premise of the Koran is that such injunctions are the "word of God as revealed to the Prophet Muhammad" and therefore cannot possibly be questioned. Like Judaism and Christianity, Islam is also a religion created by men, for the sole purpose of controlling other men, and especially women, something that has nothing to do with God.

Fortunately, even in Islam there was a "human" component that was able to keep love. This is the Sufi component. A great Sufi poet was Omar Khayyâm, of whom I quote some poems here: “With my love, under two folded branches, with my love, on the border of the deserts, where the glory does not reach the sound; and I would have what Mahmud does not give his throne. " - “If this passion that seems an ordin comes straight to me from heaven, why the prohibition? Shall I have to bring the cup to my happy lip, bring it, oh Lord, and not pour? " - "Woe to that heart in which there is no ardor of passion, which is not mad for the love of a beautiful person. A day that you have spent without love, there is no other day more lost for you than that. " - “Don't forbid me to drink wine, to enjoy women, because God is compassion. Don't tell me I'm sinning, let me sin at will. Ending one's actions for fear of punishment is unbelievers, it means doubting his compassion"

And with these loving images I close the conversation.

Cenni di vera conoscenza... - Hints of true knowledge...

(Swami Muktananda)

"Master is the one who leads you to be your own Master!" (Saul Arpino).

Ramana Maharshi said: "You and I are the same thing. What I have done is certainly possible for everyone. You are the Self, in this moment, and you can never be anything else. Throw away your worries, look within. you and find Peace! "

And again: "Know your mind, so as not to be fooled by the mind".

Do you see how many images appear in a dream, how many characters who seek and escape each other, who love and hate each other? But the dreamer is only one….

To awaken to yourself from any point or identity you recognize yourself in the dream, accept that, stop at that and from there observe and discover the observer. Do not wait under the illusion that you can only wake up if you are dreaming of being someone else, a more prepared or more likeable character… Whatever the character of the dream you are in, accept it.

Osho said: "Accepting ourselves for who we are is the basis for spiritual awakening." In fact, accepting ourselves does not mean giving up our own growth, on the contrary it means that we accept to grow starting from what we are. In this way, growth will not be a choice but a spontaneous movement. It is the flowering of intrinsic perfection that finds an expressive form, without effort, without anger or frustration, without sacrifice, without use of memory, without expiation, without hope ...

So can you tell me where, what is the purpose of that suffering, that self-control, which has accompanied your research up to now? Where is the projective utility of the ego that seeks itself? How many 'I's are there in you? Where is the one who seeks and the other who is sought? Where are the lives spent trudging towards perfection and where are those future lives to complete it? What does "I am young, I am old, I am male, I am female" mean? Aren't you present here and now, pure consciousness, beyond any external distinction? And you always will be!

And finally he remembers: "The Guru belongs to you completely but you belong completely to the Guru ..?" (Swami Muktananda)

Taoismo e spiritualità laica - Taoism and lay spirituality

Chi vede cosa?

Who sees what?  Lay Spirituality is the first form of spiritual recognition in man, which has its roots in naturalistic psychism, in analogic intuition, in the sacred expressions of conscience before the advent of any religion.

Of course it is possible to identify in some pseudo religions of the past this "natural spirituality" devoid of dogmas, sacred books and prayers.

There have really existed in the evolution of human thought at least three "pseudo-religious" forms without the concept of a personal "God the creator" but which maintain the truth of a single matrix for all things. This matrix is called Tao or Nameless in Taoism; Brahman or Absolute Non-dual in Advaita; Sunya or Void in Buddhism.

Previously I have often dealt with Advaita and Buddhism, now I feel the time has come to speak a little more extensively about Taoism, sometimes described as the "doctrine of the humble or the simple", and in this sense the term "layman" combined with this feeling it seems to me extremely appropriate. In fact, the original meaning of layman is precisely “simple, humble, out of any social and religious context”.

The acknowledged father of this "philosophy of life" was Lao Tse. Let's start by saying that in Lao Tse's thought we find that condemnation of pride and achievement, fundamental in any secular spirituality. The thought of Nisargadatta Maharaj, a lay wise advaita… also arises in the same vein. but also in proto-Christianity we can perceive a similar understanding, for example in the words referring to Jesus: "All that is exalted among men is abomination before God".

Pride, this madness of greatness ascribed to the individual, is simply an illusion of man ... since in the face of the Tao all human greatness is to be considered nothing but vain. And here we also understand the subtle cause of the ideological difference between Confucianism and Taoism, but maybe we will talk about this topic on a future occasion.

In the sayings of Lao Tse we often and often find the disapproval of pride and the criterion of personal achievement and this by virtue of the law of concatenation of opposites, the alternation of Yang and Yin which is the kinetic manifestation of the Tao. In fact, when the Yang force, active, finds its culmination it is automatically pushed towards its opposite Yin, passive.

The punishment for pride is therefore a kind of natural law in Lao Tse. “A great wind - he says - cannot last more than the space of a morning. A storm ceases with the day. The glorious army will not win forever. The tall tree will be felled "He explains in the Tao Te King how pride itself is the harbinger of the fall:" He who stands on tiptoe does not stand upright. He who marches with glorious steps will not go a long way. He who performs does not shine. He who exalts himself is without honor. He who prevails over his talent is without merit. He who makes a show of his successes is not supported. These are excesses of nourishment and superfluous moods for the Tao. Everything that is under Heaven makes you sick. And the man of the Tao doesn't even look at them! "

However, this fundamental law does not prevent Lao Tse from maintaining a fair and correct attitude towards the so-called "ways of the world". "The way of Heaven - he says - removes the excess to compensate for the missing, but the way of petty men takes away from the needy to increase the rich". The way to Heaven, Lie Tseu (another Taoist) would later say, is the way of humility and the way of petty men is that of arrogance. A similar concept is expressed in the Book of Proverbs, announcing the fall of Babylon: "Arrogance precedes ruin and pride precedes the fall".

But the disdain for pride and consideration for humility do not exhaust the Taoist "doctrine". Lao Tse considers the Tao a kind of Mother who generates, nourishes and protects all beings in the universe. Indeed, it is difficult to say whether the Tao "is" or "is not". In the metaphysics of the Tao the original kenosis is devoid of any substantial process, form or substance. It follows that in the eyes of our determinist thought the "fullness" of the Tao appears similar to the "emptiness". The Tao is seen as a bottomless abyss and this nevertheless gives rise to all things, a chaotic vortex from which all harmony arises.

So if the true Tao appears to our deterministic perception as a nothing, which for us corresponds to the race towards the emptiness of the self, it simultaneously marks the blissful return in the silent matrix, which attracts and projects the experience of empirical thought and then reabsorbs it. in the nothing from which it comes. This kenosis of the Tao proceeds by its own nature and does not presuppose any creative or destructive will. And from here we understand the Taoist non-evaluation for a personal God.

Laicità e considerazioni sul pensiero trascendentale - Laity and considerations on transcendental thought

English text:

It happens that when you are young, and you try to express thoughts and feelings, you do everything to appear "serious and credible" ... and then you make a lot of quotes and look for evidence and intellectualistic explanations to corroborate your "theorem". By worrying that our thinking is acceptable to the community to which it is addressed.

But obviously this is just a feeling of mine, a memory of past times, and in fact I am neither a scholar nor a writer but a simple scribbler of everyday stories, an ordinary man.

Socrates said: "I know I don't know!". Yet admitting one's ignorance is already a form of wisdom, knowing that the accumulated culture is limited to one's personal experience, in a self-taught form, aware of not having been infected by official opinions, by the knowledge recognized by the system.

Even as a "self-taught" it is good to get out of theoretical schemes and move on to practice, to direct observation of vital phenomena, to the recognition of one's own emotional experiences ... without necessarily trying to obtain immediate results or approvals, otherwise it would be like looking for answers by drawing on abstraction alcohol or drugs.

Better to keep your mind clear, but open, secular in short. Life itself teaches us to dissolve the lumps of the acquired, the obvious and the built out of habit or credulity. Getting out of the box is also important to find new forms of communication, new approaches and new realizations.

"If you don't empty your cup ... - a teacher said - how can you receive the truth?"

To empty the cup of the known, it is necessary to ignore the comparisons and all the beliefs that we have accumulated over the years, not to take into account anything but the perceptive capacity, the attention, the awareness of the present moment ... Then slowly we can get out of the rational mechanism of memory and move on to allegory, to the analogical message inherent in the lived example, in the modest story of everyday experience ... from now on ... Natural spirituality of Titania: "Ethics without ethics and morals without morals" - Spiritualità naturale di Titania: "Etica senza etica e morale senza morale"

Titania dormiente

Scriveva Elemire Zolla, in Discesa all'Ade e resurrezione: "Senza l’Essere l’ente non sussiste: infatti ne promana e ne fa parte.

Testo inglese:

My spiritual interests are expressed in a secular (or even atheist) key. That is, I recognize the universal matrix in Consciousness. Consciousness is like the perfume of a flower, matter is organized into organic life and consciousness is its expression. But it could also be said that Consciousness is at the basis of matter and through it it takes on life and assumes identity.Identity, from the point of view of abstract Consciousness, is like the form and name for living organisms, a simple manifestation without reality. autonomous substance. From a kaleidoscope, with five colored slides (the five elements) and three mirrors (the three qualities), innumerable figures appear. Motion is the key. And consciousness is the ability to recognize. Spirit = conscience and intelligence.

I remember several years ago a magical moment I experienced in Calcata, in the Jorgen caves, where a mythological and mystery comedy was staged: The Awakening of Titania.

Titania is a splendid fairy creature who goes around the woods with her faithful procession of sprites. Shakespeare wrote of their quarrel and the revenge of her rightful husband Oberon, after Titania refused to sell him her precious Indian page, the reason for Oberon's jealousies.

So Oberon surprises sleeping Titania and squeezes the juice of the pansy into her eyes, a fairy flower capable of making anyone fall in love with the first thing she sees. Thus, upon awakening her, Titania falls in love with Bottom, a hideous man with a donkey's head. The story, however, has a happy ending, the two magical spouses are reconciled by overcoming the restrictive concepts of jealousy, envy, ethics and morals.

This story, like all Shakespeare's tales, evokes several meanings. Titania's falling asleep is like death and awakening is actually the dream we take for reality. In it we enjoy the illusion of the senses and love what we cannot recognize. Reconciliation is the moment of the return to freedom, the overcoming of illusions and the slavery of imposed feelings.

Ethics and morals, two changing and relative thoughts, the ancient Chinese had the nerve to admit that these two qualities were only a social convenience. In Taoism they were considered two hypocritical forms of enslavement to customs. Morals and ethics have been used by all monotheistic religions as symbolic flags to justify the good programmed into the system, while amorality and the "defect" of demeanor are indicated as a serious social and religious deficiency. But now we leave aside these aspects that specifically concern behavior and customs in today's society.

After all, Titania's example is quite light and playful, the "real" awakening takes place through love, which purifies the eyes and makes the intellect clear. The case is quite different in other mythological stories in which the voluntary or expiative suffering of the heroes is described in terms of emancipation, as in the story of Odin or Prometheus.

Christ and Dionysus also died voluntarily for the salvation of others .... In short, in morality and ethics it is easily accepted that self-sacrifice is a supreme good if addressed to a cause considered noble and worthy ... but from the point of view of life where is the difference between a suicide out of desperation and an exalted religious ?

Elemire Zolla wrote, in Descent into Hades and resurrection: "Without Being, the entity does not exist: in fact it emanates from it and is part of it. But being is not restricted to space and time. Without the non-spatial space of the efficient, arousing place, where the point is figured, the geometry of the world in the making is not born. How to designate this eternal source? In Latin I would propose "februare", which Semeraro derives from the Akkadian "haburu", sprout, from the agrarian god Ha-ab-bu-ru; Servius informs that "februm" was a stretch of salty wolf skin; in the februating ceremonies, the god of spring impulse, Lupercus, was celebrated, and the wolves were young coribantesque who animated, whipping them, the women, with whips of wolf skin, the "fevers". The generating powers "never happened, but they always are: intelligence sees them all together in an instant, the word runs through them and exposes them in succession", said the Platonic observer at the conclusion of the ancient world"

This morality without morality is quite different from the religious and bigoted morality of our "holy fathers" who preached and practiced self-flagellation, misogyny, estrangement from nature, ethical and religious lie, evidently also misinterpreting the message of Christ (if the latter had really existed ...).

Come agire per promuovere una comunità ideale… - How to act to promote an ideal community ...

English text
We bioregionalists and  deep ecologists are all working, albeit in a separate and differentiated way, to change society. In general, as I understand from the situations in which I find myself it seems very difficult to find synergies of intent and disinterested collaboration. This is due to the fact that each of us has a particular idea of what the priorities must be to implement this "change".
I believe that, in order to continue in the common action, it is necessary to renounce any form of hierarchical and structured aggregation by operating in terms of small actions of a sowing network, hoping that over time and with the maturation of the collective consciousness the conditions suitable for a non-existent change may arise. “Addressed” but spontaneous.
The important thing is not to give up and continue in selfless action as far as possible, allowing the conditions for an elective collaboration to be created in every situation, in the awareness of the common goal, and at the same time knowing that each "association" lasts for time limited fulfillment of the action in progress.
But from this reflection I would like to draw some considerations on some aspects of the society in which we live: "only a weak personality needs simulacra in which to identify", and this is precisely what happens in those who, hopefully, are reflected only in the ideal specific and limited that they love! This attitude is often passively and uncritically imitative, and can take root in men of weak spirit, with a strong vocation for external identification, who want to realize their own design.
And the common interest?
From the point of view of synthesis, it should be found in adhering to the concept of "common good". In this regard, Goethe's thought of God and World comes to mind: "To orient yourself in the Infinite / distinguish you must and then unite".
It is true that the mind of the capable man, in similar times, yearns to get out of loneliness and produce positive results. But it is also important to have the inner greatness that allows even imperfect people to endure. If one tried to oppose evil with the usual means, the resulting collapse would be ruinous with consequent humiliation.
To better clarify the situation of this "historical moment" (which belongs not only to the season but also to the moral maturation of man), I quote here, once again, a teaching of the essay Ramana Maharshi on social harmony:
"A company is the organism; its constituent members are the limbs that perform its functions. A member thrives when he is loyal in service to society as a well-coordinated organ functions in the organism. While faithfully serving the community, in thoughts, words and deeds, a member of it should promote the cause among the other members of the community, making them aware and inducing them to be faithful to society, as a form of progress for the latter. - It is not religion that can save man but self-awareness ...

"The divine message of love and brotherhood of Jesus Christ, the philosophy of the Buddha, the wisdom of Socrates, the humility of Leonardo da Vinci, the example of the saints, sages and thinkers of all ages, do not represent culture. They are like the stars in the sky, bright and distant, often forgotten. Man forgets to contemplate the sky as he forgets to listen to the voice of wisdom ". (Bernardino del Boca)

Christianity was born as a pacifist philosophy, "turn the other cheek" and "love your neighbor as yourself" are the main sayings of the Gospel of Jesus. Gandhi's nonviolence is born equally from a deep faith in the truth that we all are part of the same existence, humans, plants and animals.

At the same time, while respecting the various elements of creation, the awareness remains that the earth, water, air, etc. they are common goods that must not be alienated to humans and other animals. Perhaps more than ever today I feel that the implementation of a profound ecological proposition, detached from religious belief, would be extremely necessary to guarantee the continuity of human civilization ... not to mention its "brute" survival (also in consideration of the alienation stronger and stronger with natural cycles and habitat poisoning).

The human species is constantly evolving and so we should be able to become aware that our life takes place in an inseparable context. In fact it is ... only that we have to understand and live it, first on a personal level and then on a community level. Everyone can and must "understand" the need to rebalance his diet and lifestyle without feeling obligated by an ideology or an ethical drive ... maturation must take place through ecological and physiological self-awareness.

I understand that this existential condition requires an individual maturation and a rapprochement with one's original nature which cannot be the result of a "choice" or a "creed" ... man towards his original nature ...

This return, this self-awareness in universal existence, is not a particular experience induced, it does not need names or attributes, it is easy to recognize oneself in What is...
