"Vivere parlare pensare senza dire Io", di Lorenzo Merlo, significa che l’orgoglio, o importanza personale, nonostante siano valori nella nostra egocentrica cultura, sono una delle origini di sofferenze e malattie. Esse sottintendono un’identificazione di noi stessi con il ruolo che stiamo sostenendo momento per momento. Emanciparsi dal loro dominio, ovvero dal culto dell’io, tende a liberare la nostra autentica natura e creatività, a fare di noi persone compiute.

Incontri con uomini come noi significa che tutti possiamo evolvere, ovvero trovare la nostra via al nostro centro, indipendentemente da quanto penalizzante sia il punto di partenza della risalita verso noi stessi.

Il libro si compone di due interviste e una postfazione. Tre espressioni del pensiero di altrettanti ricercatori umanistici di differente estrazione culturale, rispettivamente: induista-taoista-orientale per Paolo D’Arpini; mesoamericana-tolteca-castanedica per Marco Baston; scientifico-cristica per Paolo Lissoni. 

Al di là di ognuna, liberandosi dalle differenze formali, rilevandone il valore simbolico, si coglie tanto la comune esigenza di fondo che sospinge la loro ricerca, quanto il fine dedicato al recupero e alla valorizzazione delle doti estetiche, dei sensi tralasciate, quando non denigrate, dalla cultura razionalista, materialista, positivista. 

Nonostante le apparenze, l’esperienza spirituale non è trasmissibile, dunque ognuno dovrà compiere da sé la propria via; il secondo intento è quello di narrare in cosa consista l’incarnazione e perciò la ricreazione di quanto emerge dalle Interviste e dalla Postfazione. Di andare oltre lo sterile mito del semplice Capire, dimensione intellettuale frivola, volatile e sopravvalutata.

Senza dire io è anche un crogiuolo nel quale sono stati mescolati elementi provenienti da differenti stirpi evolutive. Vi si può riconoscere come differenti Tradizioni sapienziali d’Oriente e d’Occidente – quasi avessero operato insieme in una squadra mondiale composta da tutte le generazioni – abbiano le doti per proporre agli uomini e alla storia una via di salute e bellezza.

"Living, speaking, thinking without saying I" by Lorenzo Merlo, means that pride, or personal importance, despite being values ​​in our egocentric culture, is one of the origins of suffering and disease. Without saying I, it is also a melting pot in which elements from different evolutionary lineages have been mixed. It can be recognized how different Wisdom Traditions of the East and the West - as if they had worked together in a world team made up of all generations - have the skills to offer men and history a path of health and beauty.
