Lay Spirituality: "In the realization of the Self there is no one who defines what the Self is" - Spiritualità Laica: “Nella realizzazione del Sé non c’è alcuno a definire cosa sia il Sé”

... let's get to the point ... to the shocking experience of all spiritual seekers who have had - even if fleeting - Knowledge of the Self ...

From the point of view of the ego that identifies itself with the body and mind and recognizes the passage of time and the empirical experience of life as the only truth, it would seem that the experience of the Self is a simple hypothesis or at best a sensation, transient and sporadic. This certainly depends on the externalizing mental tendencies that capture the attention of the conscience.

To tell the truth, the Experience of the Self is total, beyond any doubt or consideration on the hypothetical duration or path of life, temporality, condition of the ego, etc. So we cannot really speak of "impermanence" of the Self but of simple obscuration .. and obscuration is not a substance but oblivion.

The pure mind, freed from the sense of the separate self, is the Self itself. There are no two selves. The Self being the only reality cannot be obtained with effort, it is always present, the spiritual work is aimed at the purification of the mind, until one realizes that a mind separated from the Self never existed ... It was only a reflection, a game in consciousness. Here I am not speaking of "conjectures" but of real experience ... which goes beyond any religious or worldly or psychological concept ...

For this reason also in lay spirituality the recognition of one's own nature, as “I” (consciousness and intelligence) is seen as the only access to the transcendental and absolute Self.

This "intuition", if it can be defined as such, is called in tantra yoga "Shaktipat", in the Christian tradition "descent of the Holy Spirit", in Sufism "encounter with the Beloved", in Zen it is described as "Satori", etc. ...

This experience is essential to recognize the truth about the Self .. but once this awareness is covered by the innate obscuring tendencies, it is perceived in the memory as an interpretation of the mind .. with the consequence of believing that the experience is "obtainable" , in a stable form, only through prolonged efforts or the loss of the body and mind, or physical death….

In reality - as evidenced by numerous living accomplishments - the body and mind is not the obstacle .. but the false identification of the ego with the psychosomatic apparatus is ... As happens to the dreamer who identifies himself with a dreamed character ... while all the characters without distinction are the same dreamer ...

In short, the sense of discontinuity in the experience of the Self is the consequence of mental shielding, due to ignorance and the accumulation of obscuring tendencies.

Shankaracarya, great sage of the 5th century AD, gave the example of the fear felt by a traveler for a snake encountered on the way ... in reality it is a coiled rope but the fear does not disappear until the awareness of the snake goes away and is replaced from the knowledge that it is a coiled rope.

In my life I was lucky enough to experience the reality of the Self and I met several souls in which this state manifested itself in a stable form, and each of them denied the hypothetical impermanence of the reality of the Self, defining it as simple "forgetfulness". I have faith in this vision and I have stopped considering feeling this permanence as a "problem", or not feeling it, therefore not interpreting the experience of the Self, as a sporadic fact that occurred in some moments in memory, but living it and accepting it as fact. My own nature.

It is true that the mind continues to imagine its own personality by identifying itself with this or that thought from time to time, but what is the importance of the role it plays? Or the character of the play?

And also: ... it is true that we live in a world where existence appears to be made up of countless beings, but in the final analysis we are all One. As far as spiritual growth and Self Realization are concerned, the masters are of help to us, they show the way and provide - on the basis of our evolutionary needs and our karma - to remove the obstacles that stand in the way. But - as Ramana Maharshi himself clearly states - the work of the seeker is necessary, since the realization cannot be given to him but must come within itself. This work is an indispensable condition, even if from the final point of view of the absolute there is never a moment in which the Self is not present ... and Ramana himself, in other contexts, declared that "one day you will laugh at your selves. efforts to get what you already are ..."...

The imponderable help that comes from the Master is defined as "Grace" and exists ... it is the spiritual drive that allows souls to return to the "Father", who is the Self, ... "Grace is always present but the seeker is sometimes not ready to receive it, due - as mentioned - to the obscuring tendencies - then slowly due to the sufferings resulting from repeatedly committed errors (karma) the seeker's heart "opens" to the truth ... and to Grace and Love and Knowledge ... . the Master, the Father, the Grace, the Knowledge…. they are expressions of the same Truth, which the seeker ultimately realizes as his own intrinsic nature, forms of his own Self.

Self,  is the Spirit that penetrates everything, in advaita it is defined as Brahman or Atman or Paramatmam. Precise: when we talk about the Self we are already in a state of duality. As Lao Tzu says: the Tao that can be said is not the true Tao. From a conceptual point of view, therefore with a description within the dual mind, the Self represents the absolute awareness not aware of itself, or the Absolute one without a second. The individual self (soul) is the reflection in the mind of that awareness.

And here we ask what is the mind? It is that power of reflection that allows the Self to manifest itself in infinite forms (Maya or Shakti. - Time, space, energy). Since the reflection of the manifested images has the Self as substratum, it can be said - as Shankaracharya said - that the world is unreal when seen as separate from the Self, but becomes real when seen as the Self. The realized is therefore not a person but is the Self. Like any character in the dream at the moment of awakening, it ceases to exist as a "dream individual" and awakens as the dreamer. The simile is imperfect… as mentioned above. Realization therefore is nothing other than awakening to one's true nature, having always been that Self.

Testo Italiano:

The creation of the world in the nondualistic Vedantic vision - La creazione del mondo nella visione vedantica nondualistica

Dipinto di Franco Farina

Sri Ramana Maharshi adopted three different points of view when he spoke of the nature of the physical world. He sponsored them all at different times, but from the comments he generally expressed on the subject it is clear that he considered only the first two theories described here to be true or useful:

1. AJATA  VADA

(Theory of non-causality). This is an ancient Advaita doctrine which states that the creation of the world never happened. It is a complete denial of all causality in the physical world. Sri Ramana supported this opinion by saying that according to the experience of the 'jnani' nothing ever comes into existence or ceases to be because only the Self exists as the only and unchangeable reality. A corollary of this story is that time, space, cause and effect, the essential components of all theories of creation, exist only in the minds of the 'ajnani' and that the experience of the Self reveals their non-existence. .

This theory is not a denial of the reality of the world, but only of the creative process that brought it into existence. Speaking of the same experience as him, Sri Ramana said that the jnani is aware that the world is real, not as a meeting of interacting matter and energies, but as an apparition for no reason in the Self. He developed this by saying that since the real nature or the substratum of this apparition is identical to the existence of the Self, it necessarily participates in the reality of it.

This means that the world is not real for the jnani simply because it appears, but only because the real nature of the apparition is inseparable from the Self.

The ajnani on the other hand is totally unaware of the unitary nature and source of the world and, as a consequence, his mind constructs an illusory world of separate interacting objects, continually misunderstanding the sensory impressions he receives. Sri Ramana indicated that this worldview has no greater reality than a dream as it superimposes a creation of the mind on the reality of the Self. He summarized the difference between the point of view of the jnani and the ajnani by saying that the world is unreal if it is perceived by the mind as a set of distinct objects and is real when it is directly experienced as an appearance of the Self.

2. DRISHTI-SRISHTI VADA

If his interlocutors found it impossible to assimilate the idea of 'ajata' or non-causality, he taught them that the world came into existence simultaneously with the appearance of the thought "I" and that it ceases to exist when the thought "I" is absent. This theory is known as 'drishti-srishti', or simultaneous creation and in fact states that the world that appears to an ajani is the product of the mind that perceives it and that in the absence of that mind it ceases to exist.

The theory is true when the mind creates an imaginary world for itself, but from the standpoint of the Self, an imaginary "I" creating an imaginary world is not a creation at all, so the doctrine of ajata is not subverted.

Although Sri Ramana has sometimes said that drishti-srishti was not the ultimate truth about creation, he encouraged his followers to accept it as a working hypothesis. He justified this approach by saying that if the world can be considered consistently as an unreal creation of the mind, then it loses its attraction and it becomes easier to maintain awareness of the "I" thought without distraction.

3. SRISHTI-DRISHTI VADA

(Gradual creation). This is the common sense opinion which states that the world is an objective reality governed by the laws of cause and effect that can be traced back to a single act of creation. It includes virtually all Western ideas on the subject, from the "big bang" theory to the biblical account of Genesis. Sri Ramana only appealed to theories of this nature when he was speaking with interlocutors who were reluctant to accept the implications of the theories 'ajata' and 'drishti-srishti'. Even then, he usually indicated that such theories should not be taken too seriously as they were only promulgated to satisfy intellectual curiosity.

Literally, 'drishti-srishti' means that the world exists only when it is perceived, while 'srishti-drishti' means that the world existed before anyone's perception. Although the first theory seems vicious, Sri Ramana argued that true seekers should be satisfied, both because it is an approximation close to the truth, and because it is the most beneficial attitude to adopt if one is seriously interested in realizing the Self.

Testo Italiano:

Lay spirituality. Attention to answer a question ... - Spiritualità laica. L'attenzione per rispondere ad una domanda…

"Master is the one who leads you to be your own Master!" (Saul Arpino)

Ramana Maharshi said: "Know your mind, so as not to be fooled by the mind" Do you see how many images appear in a dream, how many characters who seek and escape each other, who love and hate each other? But the dreamer is only one….

To awaken to yourself from any point or identity you recognize in the dream, accept that, stop at that and from there observe and discover the observer. Do not wait under the illusion that you will be able to wake up if you are dreaming of being someone else, a more prepared or more likeable character… Whatever the character of the dream you find yourself in, accept it.

Osho said: "Accepting ourselves for who we are is the basis for spiritual awakening." In fact, accepting ourselves does not mean giving up our own growth, on the contrary it means that we accept to grow starting from what we are. In this way, growth will not be a choice but a spontaneous movement. It is the flowering of intrinsic perfection that finds an expressive form, without effort, without anger or frustration, without sacrifice, without use of memory, without expiation, without hope ...

So can you tell me where, what is the purpose of that suffering, that self-control, which has accompanied your research up to now? Where is the projective utility of the ego that seeks itself? How many 'I's are there in you? Where is the one who seeks and the other who is sought? Where are the lives spent trudging towards perfection and where are those future lives to complete it? What does "I am young, I am old, I am male, I am female" mean? Aren't you present here and now, pure consciousness, beyond any external distinction? And you always will be!

Listen, you are always, absolutely, and whoever in your dream says something that makes sense, you say it. Recognize that message as yours, look at the moon and leave your finger alone, discover the essence and do not be fooled by the reflection ... and finally remember: "The Guru belongs to you completely but do you belong completely to the Guru ..?" (Swami Muktananda)

Testo italiano:

(Swami Muktananda)

Lay spirituality to save humanity from religions... - Spiritualità laica per salvare l'umanità dalle religioni...

A female friend of mine wrote to me some time ago saying: "Why do you always speak badly of religions? I wonder what this fury against religions is? This foments gratuitous hatred. I believe that religions have been exploited, we all agree, but not I agree with demonizing them at all costs...".

It is true, religions have spoiled man's natural spirituality by transforming it into utilitarian speculation. In my opinion all religions should be overcome if man is to recover the true spiritual nature of him. Detaching oneself from it is a personal fact, of course, but it is necessary to be aware and remember the facts that are at the origin and pure consequence of religious exploitation. On the other hand, evolution unfolds through a continuous "growth" of consciousness.

Religions are schematic cages that prevent growth, they represent a jumble of rules, dogmas and beliefs immobile over time. Little do they adapt to epochal changes, at most if there are inevitable changes, religions seem to conform to them by diluting their doctrine a little but in fact preventing themselves from being able to give a suitable evolutionary response to the new conditions of society and the environment. Religious lack "responsibility", in the original sense of "respons-ability", that is, the ability to provide adequate responses to the contingent situation in which one finds oneself.

Living in facts and not loving dialectical diatribes but loving to say "bread with bread and wine with wine" I admit that I don't like to feel restricted in any context. I don't like labels I don't like any moral, political, ideological or religious coercion .. Even some ecological or animalist or bioregionalist or vegan sects etc. they tend to close themselves in an enclosure of established norms and confessions of strict fixed adherence, with no other consideration than that of adhering to the "gospel" of the sect. If you want to make the natural spirituality of man a basis for expressing the norms of a "new religion" complete with priests entitled to interpretation and complete with a bible decided at a table by the wise, I disagree.

Not that by this he intends to deny the reality of spirituality, I simply dissociate myself from the group of those who believe they are the custodians of the "rules" (as some self-styled secular spiritualist groups have done) and who decide they want to impart them to others as a legislative code.

Conversely, by recognizing without pretentiousness the existence of the different realities of our daily lives, we are able to grasp their richness and uniqueness, preserving their memory as a cultural heritage. In this way we can also grasp the soul of the place where we live, where mind and body come together in a profound act of love and gratitude towards this land that has given us life.

At the same time, respecting the various elements of Nature, the awareness remains that the earth, water, air, etc. they are common goods that must not be alienated to humans and other animals. Perhaps more than ever today I feel that the implementation of an ecological proposition, detached from religious belief, would be extremely necessary to guarantee the continuity of human civilization, not to mention its "brute" survival (also in consideration of the increasingly strong alienation with natural cycles and habitat poisoning). Through the awareness of belonging to the Whole, that is, by accepting our holistic sharing in "what is", we discover a new form of ecological vital presence in which no imaginary goals are pursued (paradises , hells, earnings, etc.) but in which one deals exclusively with the present state of existence.

An 'individual' awareness of how it is possible to rebalance the context of life without believing that ours is a function of control, domination (or subjection to a hypothetical divinity other), knowing that everything we steal today will have to surely be paid tomorrow, this in the case of the surplus, while if our breathing, eating, living is part of the whole of living, breathing, eating of every other living being, at that point we could finally enjoy life, without having guilty to expiate , without having to abandon our way of social life that has contributed to the flowering of this beautiful human species. In this phase of the millennial history of man we have privileged the secondary, the superfluous, to the detriment of the primary, that is food, water, air. It is important for us integrated human beings to analyze the reasons for this diversion. A misdirection that was perhaps necessary to discover the value of abstract theses but which cannot continue to occupy all the possible space of our existence.

The human species is constantly evolving and so we should be able to become aware that our life takes place in a inseparable context. In fact it is, only that we have to understand and live it, first on a personal level and then on a community level. Everyone can and must "understand" the need to rebalance his diet and lifestyle without feeling obligated by an ideology or an ethical drive. Maturation can and must take place through ecological and physiological self-awareness.

In short, we must take the first step towards ourselves by focusing our attention on the things that can be done, for ourselves and by ourselves, in the immediate present.

To begin with, we place trust in our personal innate abilities to recognize ourselves in the great expression of existence. This does not mean abandonment of the community, on the contrary such awareness corresponds to the rediscovery of community values, values based on one's self-responsibility towards ourselves - first of all - and subsequently towards our fellow creatures (the living in their totality). It cannot be a sentimental attitude, but rather operational, organic, definitive and total, including the various planes of the life course without exclusion of ways and without excesses.

As we have seen, there is a substantial difference between religion and spirituality. Religion indicates adherence to norms and dogmas, therefore it represents an "act of faith", that is, a "believing" and putting into practice those dogmas and norms in one's life. Therefore it belongs to the domain of the mind and is questionable. Conversely, natural spirituality is the conscious spark that qualifies every living being and that manifests itself in man in the form of "self-awareness". Therefore spirituality is the true nature of being and is not subordinated to any precondition.

From this it can be deduced that "natural spirituality", correctly understood, is by its very nature "secular" or beyond any religious contextualization. Therefore it is unthinkable that a member of a religion can express "secularly" the spirituality related to that religion.

I would now like to clarify the original and conceptual meaning of "secular spirituality" which is poorly indicated as a way of expressing oneself spiritually by lay members of any religion ... In truth, the secular term deriving from the Greek "laikos" means l absolute non-belonging to a religious, or philosophical, and even political model. Therefore, 'lay' means "outside any socially structured context". For example, the English translation of "laic" is "laymen" which means "common man" and the English term closest to expressing the concept of secular spirituality is "awe" or "self-wonder".

In truth,  lay spirituality indicates "natural spirituality", which pushes man's spontaneous search towards his origin, towards the mysterious meaning of life, this yearning is directed towards self-knowledge.

To begin with, let's establish that "spirit" means "synthesis between intelligence and conscience". And therefore his "being" does not require any external confirmation. Each affirms his own existence on the basis of his direct experience of existing and of being aware of it. It is not necessary for anyone to confirm this.

It is not necessary to "believe" in one's existence to say "I am", we know this without a shadow of a doubt for ourselves. While to sentence the assumption of a faith or the lack of a faith we cannot help but use the term "I believe" or "I do not believe." It follows that being and being conscious of it at the same time is natural and unequivocally true, while supporting something that has its basis in thought, that is, in mental speculation, is only a process, a conceptualizing.

I do not want to be difficult but it is obvious that no one will ever say "I believe I exist and that I am aware" while for any other statement (or abstract or concrete thought form) the term "I believe in this or that ... in atheism "or anything else you trust ...

"I am" is therefore the pure and simple truth and it is here in vain to explain the possible reasons for this "being" since this explanatory procedure (or interpretation) is only part of speculation and is therefore questionable.

To affirm that consciousness is the result of the divine spark or the random path of matter that transforms into life let us say to the sophists. "I am" is the only incontrovertible fact that needs no proof or discussion. And it is on this basis that I want to stay. It therefore makes no sense to discuss the "ways" ..... or the "hypotheses". I say this to silence and avoid any opposition on the reality of the contingent fact expressed by me (and everyone with a clear mind can be aware of it). This is secularism of the spirit.

Natural spirituality is therefore a simple and banal "recognition" of the spontaneous state of each of us: self-knowledge.

I am not talking about empirical knowledge referring to the "little self", or the ego, the name form we believe we are. Even if knowing the embodied characteristics, knowing how to identify the drives that distinguish our person, it is certainly useful in order not to be fooled by the mind, in order not to fall into the trap of false identity. In fact, everything that can be described cannot be "us", but only the functional structure of the body / mind (in which we recognize ourselves).

This psycho-physical apparatus is the result of the mixture of natural forces (or elements) and psychic qualities (which elements are expressions). In the multiform interconnection of these energies the infinite beings take shape ... Even if - in truth - they are not "forces" or "beings" but a single force and a single being that takes on various aspects during its unfolding in space -time.

But here it is necessary to describe the "separative capacity" (maya - yin and yang) that produces the illusion of diversity. It is the first concept that is formed in the mind (in fact it is the mind itself) simultaneously with the appearance of the thought "I". Attention it is not a question of the I-Absolute, the Being, and being aware of it beyond all identification, it is instead the first conscious reflection (of this I) in the mind and which allows the objectification and perception of exteriority through the senses. In this way the dissociative mechanism of "I am this" is implemented and what is observed "is other". Thus the dualism takes on a semblance of reality and is corroborated by the causality consequential to the transformations that unfold in space / time.

The dual formative process is easy to identify by the shrewd intellect (in the sense of attentive) but this consideration is still within the mirror reflection of the mind, so from the point of view of Absolute Knowledge also this explanation (or understanding) it is futile, perhaps unnecessary and perhaps even misleading ... (due to the appropriative tendency of specular thinking) and here I return to the need to know one's own mind in order not to be deceived by its lucubrations.

Someone might ask at this point: “… So why write all this? Why read it? " - But the answer is simple, sometimes before throwing out the garbage we feel the need to examine it in every detail, so as not to have regrets later ... Unfortunately, in years and years of low flight, all of us have developed a strong attachment to ballast…!

And finally who is aware of the Self? He who merges in this "knowledge" comes to self-realization and liberation from identification with the agent. For such a living liberated, actions take place spontaneously and the "temptations" of the senses and their impressions have no hold on him. For him, the world of duality does not exist. The knowledge of him is the Sacred Fire, which burns any latent impression of the ego. The one who has realized the Self is not conditioned by time, he is the Death of death, he is the true hero who is not afraid of anything, because there is no "other" that he can fear ..

I understand that this existential condition requires an individual maturation and a realization of one's own original nature which cannot be the result of a "choice" or a "creed" ... Life at the right time and in the ways that are suited to it will lead the man towards his goal, which is also his beginning ...

This return, this self-awareness in universal existence, is not a particular experience, it does not need names or attributes, it is easy to recognize oneself in what it is ...

And the return to what we are and have always been, Being inseparable, unique, which manifests itself in multiple forms, allows us to live in a harmonious way, with ourselves, and in loving, kind and solid collaboration with the Earth and all its inhabitants,. This self-recognition, or return to one's own nature, is therefore not a label but a state of consciousness.

Testo Italiano:

Bioregionalism and possible evolution - Bioregionalismo ed evoluzione possibile

Strictly speaking, from a point of view of purposes, secular spirituality and profound ecology sink their existence into consciousness. Man has questioned himself about the forces of nature and about life and this questioning has produced spirituality, profound ecology is a deepening in a material sense of this research. Both approaches start from the existing, from the way of perceiving ourselves and the reality that surrounds us, the first is an approach in a metaphysical sense while the second examines the physical but there is no difference between the two aspects except in the descriptive way.

In deep ecology as well as in natural spirituality there is a 'something' that impregnates the plots of life. This 'quid' has been described as the source of all things, regardless of whether we call it 'spirit' or 'life force'. From the initial questioning we have come to all the Gnostic philosophies, to the religions of the East as well as to the great monotheistic religions in which, albeit with different angles, the great mystery of life is praised, this is also the requirement of ecology that always takes into account the delicate balance of all vital manifestations. I have often found myself describing man's need for spiritual expression as the birth of the first virtualization. Through thought and intellectual speculation virtuality, imagining, assuming true on the basis of a thought (of a belief) has arisen and this projection, a specific human 'vis', is perhaps also present in the rest of the living, who knows?

For example, in the theories of karma, the individual life of beings is described as an evolutionary path that starts from a spark of intelligence which then differs into myriads of forms, sometimes opposed, which are however closely linked to each other. and in continuous ascent towards the same purpose. A unity that has never failed even during the so-called "karmic path" but due to illusion, or the virtuality of thought, appears disjointed and imperfect (and therefore perfectible?). From the material point of view, profound ecology is an aid to understanding that there is no back or forth in the general context of life that is not strictly consequential, that does not share the same basic substance and therefore is impossible to separate, on pain of the extinction of life itself.

And now a question: how would we live on this Earth if we all decided to retire as a hermitage, to return to earth as they say in the jargon, without immediately upsetting, definitively destroying, the already precarious balance of this planet? The Earth is now home to several billion people, mostly gathered in urban areas, it is true that several animal species are in sharp decline but on the other hand many of those domesticated by man (essentially for purposes of pleasure or emotional deficiency) exceed in number the humans themselves and like humans living in cities they too are concentrated in large farms. If each of us were to go to live in the countryside, imagining an egalitarian society, we would perhaps have no more than two hundred meters of land available each without counting the desert areas, glaciers, high mountains, if we also wanted to bring with us our "pets" we should share that small space with dogs and cats, if we then wanted to eat meat we should further divide our house with sheep, cows, rabbits, pigs, etc.

t is easy to imagine the throng that would be created in our two hundred square meters of land, not only but how could we produce enough food in that small garden for all the members of our personal rural community? It goes without saying that this type of choice is unthinkable for the masses as well as, for other even more serious reasons, it is unthinkable that life can continue for a long time on the planet if we continue to exploit resources to meet the paroxysmal consumption needs of large agglomerations. urban.

The lemmings, that people of rodents that in case of overcrowding periodically emigrate en masse, would have already embarked on their final journey (which as we all know ends up in the icy waters of the North Sea) to rebalance nature. In part, such self-destructive behavior is also taking place in our society, with the increase in wars, suicides, perversions, and stupidity. But it is still not enough to find that natural balance of survival and this is because man has the arrogance to consider himself a being "superior" to other species and therefore every solution must include the continuation of the game currently in the program and that is fixity of our species as dominant.

But at this point I re-insert the concept of "natural or secular spirituality". To tell the truth, this spirituality cannot at all resemble the previous religious spirituality but must necessarily take into account the vital context itself, that is, ecology. An ecological spirituality in which imaginary purposes are not pursued (paradises, hells, etc.) but in which one deals exclusively with the present state of existence. An 'individual' awareness of how it is possible to rebalance the context of life without believing that ours is a function of control, domination (or subjection to a hypothetical divinity other).

Each of us should from now on face his personal survival course knowing that everything we steal today will surely have to be paid tomorrow, this in the case of the surplus, while if our breathing, eating, living is part of the whole of living, breathing, eating every other living being we could finally enjoy life, without having sins to atone, without having to abandon our urbanized and strongly social way of life which - obviously - except for the famous rebalancing we have mentioned, has contributed to the flowering of this beautiful species of ours.

In this phase of man's millenary history we have privileged the secondary, the superfluous, to the detriment of the primary, namely food, water, air. It is important for us integrated human beings to analyze the reasons for this diversion. A misdirection that was undoubtedly necessary to discover the value of abstract theses such as art, writing, aesthetics, ethics, but which cannot continue to occupy all the possible space of our existence. For example, we must be aware of the effort and the profound meaning inherent in the research and production of our daily food.

I now describe the historical excursus on our evolution. The history of man is very simple and reflects the four fundamental changes in life. Man in his evolutionary race makes four seasonal leaps. At the beginning he sucks the milk, at the base of the milk there are vegetables and meat and this becomes his food, then still beyond there is the earth and here is the man who devours it but beyond the earth there is the spirit and man feeding on "spirit" completes another cycle of spiral in the ladder of evolution.

This symbolism can be translated as follows: milk represents the moment in which humanity places itself reverent towards the nurse, nature, who takes care of it and supports it in its womb (we could say that it corresponds to the moment of "earthly paradise"); then takes over the ability to self-sustain and to resort to appropriate technologies to derive nourishment from oneself (corresponds to the moment of the patriarchal foundation); therefore, here is the moment of maximum technological and social development in which man tends to devour, to consume, even the earth that supports him (the moment of consumerist decadence and of scientific religious idolatry); finally, the moment of undifferentiated consciousness comes, man is touched by the "spirit", penetrates it and rediscovers his primal unity (corresponds to the original quid, to self-awareness), the cycle is repeated step by step.

It is evident that this historical moment is marked by a great leap between the height of ideological or religious materialism and that of a return to non-dual awareness.

How can we deal with apparently diametrically opposed conditions or contingencies? First of all, there is one thing to consider: the evolutionary drive in man is not induced by mass ideologies, mass thought serves only to maintain the psychophysical compactness of the species, the index of change is always and only represented by forms thought, pseudopodia, which radiate towards possible evolutionary outlets, these pseudopodia represent only a very small percentage of the mass, they are minorities ... ..

The two minorities currently in antithesis, in the "program" for the development of human intelligence, are represented on the one hand by the individual centralization of power (self-foraging ideological and economic lobbies) and on the other by a stretched network of small people who they emanate thought forms connected to the whole (a sort of universal syncretism).

These cycles or historical paths occur at the same time both in the span of a single individual life and in historical seasons or waves, cosmic eras. It seems to me that this moment of transition, between one human condition and another, is dedicated to the destructive aspect of every superstructure of thought, a clearing of pre-established canons. In fact, today, as never before, the drive to get out of the established patterns causes a seismic state of mind (psychic shocks) to the body-mass of humanity. It would be enough to know that, as happens in the self-realization process, every single cell of the human social body must be touched and must be able to individually perceive the real evolutionary possibility in progress. And while the egocentric tendency acts on the mass with mechanisms of forced aggregation (see information standardization), on the contrary, the "increase" of consciousness takes place on individual emotional levels.

We must be aware of this when, as precursors, we propose a bioregional approach that certainly cannot use the counterpart's means but must nevertheless understand them organically and evolve from there. Only in this way can the sense of difference dissolve and consciousness can re-find its space. The inside of man is still a whole world to explore but also the outside is just as infinite and unknowable. For this reason, the middle way is always proposed, moderation, as the only possible way for the continuity of the species. Integral non-dual awareness does not divide. It is for this reason that in the ecology of the depths and in secular spirituality the return to the Earth is told, listening to its message, thus reaching that integration with it. Enjoying the silent joy of life, here and now. A joy that has no construct, no cause, no mechanism to satisfy, no possession, only it is…. It is called existence.

But beware ... this vision does not hypothesize a return to primitivism but rather identifies the opportunity for a rebalancing in the current conditions of advanced society. The continuity of our society, as a human species, requires an evolutionary key, a global understanding, through which to open our mind to the awareness of sharing with the entire planet (perhaps it would be better to say with the universe) the experience life. This is the science of the inseparability of life.

It follows that even the human economy can and must take this vision into account in order to initiate a technological progress that is not opposed but is in tune with life processes. Science and technology in every field of application will have to answer the question: "Is this ecologically and spiritually compatible?" The machinery, the energy sources, the disposal of by-products, as well as the sociability and culture, must be made in terms of sustainability.

If this stimulus manifests itself in the human mind, then a rapid process of industrial and agricultural reconversion and requalification will be necessary, which in itself will be able to support the economy. In fact, the "ecological reconversion" alone will favor the overcoming of the current state of "enpasse", giving a great boost to economic and social development.

A great revolution including our making peace with the planet and with the living beings that inhabit it.

Testo Italiano:

Come possiamo affrontare condizioni o contingenze apparentemente diametralmente opposte?

Psycho-history and collective memory - Psicostoria e memoria collettiva

The books report the story that the authors of the books want to tell, if we want to know the story, the true one, it is necessary to enter the storehouse of the vital mnemonic function, which is still present in a holographic key in each of us. In India this warehouse is called Akasha, Jung called it Collective Unconscious, esotericists call it Aura of the Earth. Asimov defined this mnemonic research as psycho-history ... Someone asked me: "What do you mean by holographic key, that is, the medium you refer to?". I give the example of the functioning of a hologram, every information of the whole is contained in all its parts, so it is within everyone's reach to access the collective memory. There can be various options on how to get there: meditation, absorption, dreaming, intuition, revelation, etc. According to a "materialistic" psycho-historical point of view, some use an object connected to the examined history, in order to focus on that, as happens in divination by empirical means.

That there is an indisputable connection between energy emission and matter is a fact known to anyone, even before the discoveries of quantum physics. Suffice it to see the action of solar energy and its uptake useful for life processes on Earth ...

Energy and matter are closely interconnected and at a certain level indistinguishable from each other. And at the basis of their appearance in specific forms and ways there is the constant and continuous mutation, a sort of ups and downs that between one and the other polarity that allows the existence of the known universe.

According to I Ching, or Book Of Changes, creation occurs constantly through the meeting of Heaven and Earth, or Energy and Matter, Consciousness and Form, but this description is not only the prerogative of the I Ching, also other religions and philosophies (and even modern science) indicate movement, vibration or transformation as the prime factor that creates the world. The kinetic energy released through the change in the original static "quid" has propagated in an apparently infinite development that uses the conducting channels of space and time. Whether you call it Word, Om, Spirit or Tao is of little importance ...

From the point of view of empirical experience, based on observation in a space-time continuum and also according to the theory of the gradual creation of the universe, we imagine a "beginning" called Big Bang (the big bang) or "Creative Act" in which the static energetic concentration reaches a critical phase of irrepressibility and a collapse follows (corresponding to the beginning of space-time) which coincides with the manifestative projection in which energy takes shape, gradually, becoming matter. The gradualness and continuity of creation is measured through an "aspect" that always accompanies, we could even say records, the creative process. This aspect is immanent and transcendent and is the "consciousness", which is an integral part, a sort of intrinsic flavor or quality, of the energetic development in progress.

We can therefore safely say that "consciousness, energy and matter" are the same thing, as the time and space that appear and coexist complementarily. Without the duration in time and the expansion in space, nothing could manifest itself and without consciousness and energy no form or entity would have meaning or existence. For this reason it is impossible to separate the manifestation from the awareness that sanctions it.

Each element, being the transformation into the infinite possibility of energy movements in space and time, retains a specific memory (or intelligence) which is necessary for the cohesion of its substance (or state of energy mutation if we want to use metaphysical terminology). This process of psychosomatization of the existing is simultaneously imprinted in a sort of "negative" that corresponds to the formula with respect to the experimental procedure in progress (we can also define it as "memory", "shadow" or "antithesis"). But it is not only a negative description, it is also a substratum, it is a constituent force that allows the manifest whole to maintain a shape and a name, in short, it makes it assume a specific identity.

And it is for this reason that specific archetypal forms are identified in the I Ching, trigrams and hexagrams, useful for the recognition of energy aggregations in progress. In short, we can say that events repeat themselves, albeit on an evolutionary scale, in a sort of continuous gradient but attributable to an already known process. Hence also the concept of "psycho-history", which is nothing other than the design memory constituting the phenomena, which remains imprinted in the results of active phenomenology: the vital processes. Therefore history is not that written in books, that of books is only a deceptive, partial and subjective documentation that describes the aspects perceived by some witnesses, or listeners of witnesses.

History as we know it is a shaky pseudo-truth, an almost imaginary description, told and corroborated (for speculative purposes) by the opinion of its editors. What we call history is at best the description of a realistic imaginative shared (more or less) by many (however a limited number of people).

But the truth cannot be partial, just as the integrity of our bodily existence cannot be broken up. In the sense that we cannot say "this organ or this appendix does not belong to me or is useless, the hair, nails and hair are not important because they grow and are eliminated without excessive damage ..." or similar jokes. In fact, even if we almost always use the right hand for our actions we also need the left, if we become bald we consider it a defect, if the nails break even the fingers suffer from it, etc. In short, historical truth should correspond to a wholeness and this wholeness is given only by that subtle memory that remains imprinted in the constantly changing phenomenal forms.

This "memory", which at a vital level is defined as DNA, at a psychic level I call it "psychohistory", that is, the ability to read the automatic memorization, the non-perceptible accounting record, present in all the events. And there is no separation in any vital process, which manifests itself with our direct involvement or with an indirect one, in short, every element, physical or psychic, is influenced by the mutation in progress. This logically also happens for the events on the face of the planet: an atomic bomb in Siberia affects the environmental conditions of Antarctica ...

So if we want to know the true story, it is necessary to enter the storehouse of the vital mnemonic function, which is still present in a holographic key in each of us. In India this warehouse is called Akasha, Jung called it Collective Unconscious, esotericists call it Aura of the Earth.

How to draw on this mysterious and ever-present archive?

The answer lies in the question itself ... How does water know water? How does fire know fire? How do you know yourself?

Being it…! Only being it ... Not as an observer who looks, but as a constituent substance of the current energy trend. Thus stripping ourselves of the separation that prevents us from perceiving the whole of which we are an integral part. In fact, those who are endowed with foresight or mediumship can perceive this total "memory" of the great magma of existence only by melting into that "consciousness". That is, renouncing the small separative identity of the ego that leads us to identify ourselves with the single molecule of the life process and to describe the existing within the narrow scope of the perceptible, limited to the circumscribed presence. This is often what happens not only in our minds but also in its by-products: official history, philosophy or religion and science.

Testo Italiano:

Come fa l’acqua a conoscere l’acqua? Come fa il fuoco a conoscere il fuoco? Come fai a conoscere te stesso?

Essendolo…! Unicamente essendolo…
