Spiritual growth as a game... - La crescita spirituale come gioco...

Ramana Maharshi said: “Know your mind, so as not to be deceived by the mind” Do you see how many images appear in a dream, how many characters who seek and escape each other, who love and hate each other? But there is only one dreamer….

To awaken to yourself from whatever identity you recognize yourself as in the dream, accept that one, stop at that one and from there observe and discover the observer. Do not wait deluding yourself that you will be able to wake up if you are dreaming of being someone else, a more prepared or more likeable character… Whatever character in the dream you find yourself in, accept it.

Osho said: “Accepting ourselves for what we are is the basis for spiritual awakening”. In fact, accepting ourselves does not mean giving up our own growth, rather it means that we accept to grow starting from what we are. In this way, growth will not be a choice but a spontaneous movement. It is the blossoming of intrinsic perfection that finds an expressive form, without effort, without anger or frustration, without sacrifice, without the use of memory, without atonement, without hope…

Can you tell me then where is placed, what is the purpose, that suffering, that self-control, that has accompanied your search up to now? Where is the projective utility of the self that seeks itself? How many “I”s are there in you? Where is that one who seeks and the other who is sought? Where are the lives spent struggling towards perfection and where are those future lives to complete it? What does “I am young, I am old, I am male, I am female” mean? Are you not present here and now, pure consciousness, beyond every external distinction? And you always will be!

Listen, you are always, absolutely, and whoever in your dream says something sensible, it is you who says it. Recognize that message as yours, look at the moon and leave your finger alone, discover the essence and do not be fooled by the reflection...

P.S. According to Ramana Maharshi, everything we experience is established from the moment of birth, our freedom lies in feeling involved, reacting with desires or repulsions towards the experience. Desires and repulsions produce thought forms that are subsequently projected into other "incarnations" (not meaning incarnations of the same entity). In short, these thought forms produce new names and new forms that seek completion. It is a spontaneous mechanism of the evolution of consciousness in space-time. However -always mentioning Ramana Maharshi" from the point of view of the Self (absolute impersonal Consciousness) there is no progress or regression but from the point of view of the mind evolution is continuous. And furthermore, if we assume a detached attitude it does not mean that our predispositions cannot interact with situations. Detachment allows a better performance. But even this attitude is somehow "determined" by the evolutionary process in progress..." (P.D'A.)

Diceva Ramana Maharshi:”Conosci la tua mente, per non farti imbrogliare dalla mente”  Vedi quante immagini appaiono in un sogno, quanti personaggi che si cercano e si sfuggono, che si amano e si odiano? Ma il sognatore è uno solo….

Per risvegliarti a te stesso da qualsiasi  identità tu ti riconosca nel sogno, accetta quella, fermati a quella e da lì osserva e scopri l’osservatore. Non aspettare illudendoti che potrai svegliarti se stai sognando di essere qualcun altro, un personaggio più preparato o più simpatico… Qualsiasi sia il personaggio del sogno nel quale ti ritrovi, accettalo.

Osho diceva: “Accettarsi per quel che siamo è la base per il risveglio spirituale”. Infatti accettarsi non significa rinunciare alla propria crescita, anzi vuol dire che accettiamo di crescere partendo da ciò che siamo. In questo modo la crescita non sarà una scelta bensì un moto spontaneo. E’ la fioritura dell’intrinseca perfezione che trova una forma espressiva, senza sforzo, senza rabbia o frustrazione, senza sacrificio, senza uso della memoria,senza espiazione, senza speranza…

Puoi dirmi allora dove si pone, a cosa serve, quella sofferenza,  quell’autocontrollo, che sin’ora ha accompagnato la tua ricerca? Dov’è l’utilità proiettiva dell’io che cerca se stesso? Quanti sono gli “io” in te? Dov’è quell’uno che cerca e l’altro che è cercato? Dove sono le vite trascorse arrancando verso la perfezione e dove sono quelle vite future per completarla? Cosa significa “io sono giovane, io sono vecchio, io sono maschio, io sono femmina”? Non sei tu presente qui ed ora, pura coscienza, aldilà di ogni distinzione esteriore? E sempre lo sarai!

Ascolta, tu sei sempre, assolutamente, e chiunque nel tuo sogno dica qualcosa di sensato, sei tu a dirlo. Riconosci quel messaggio come tuo, guarda la luna e lascia stare il dito, scopri l’essenza e non lasciarti ingannare dal riflesso...

P.S.  Secondo Ramana Maharshi, tutto ciò che noi viviamo è stabilito dal momento della nascita, la nostra libertà sta nel sentirci coinvolti, reagendo con desideri o repulsioni nei confronti del vissuto. Desideri e repulsioni producono forme pensiero che vengono successivamente proiettate in altre "incarnazioni" (non intendendo incarnazioni dello stesso ente). Queste forme pensiero insomma producono nuovi nomi e nuove forme che cercano un completamento. E' un meccanismo spontaneo dell'evolversi della coscienza nello spazio tempo. Comunque -sempre menzionando Ramana Maharshi" dal punto di vista del Sé (Coscienza impersonale assoluta) non esiste progresso o regresso ma dal punto di vista della mente l'evoluzione è continua. Ed inoltre, se assumiamo un atteggiamento distaccato non significa che le nostre predisposizioni non possano interagire con le situazioni. Il distacco consente una migliore prestazione. Ma anche questo atteggiamento è in qualche modo "determinato" dal processo evolutivo in corso..." (P.D'A.)
